Does The Raw Diet Bring You To Health For The Long Term?

During a very recent interview, Matt Monarch, known raw foodist, encourages Daniel Vitalis to show the key reason why raw food for the long term may not be as beneficial as several people may feel.
Daniel says that he personally does not think that it is verified that the raw food diet has any benefit more than any other diet. He says there has never been any confirmed report of any society living successfully on raw foods only, but that the reverse in fact is archaeologically documented all through history.
Daniel thinks that when he, himself, was on the raw food detox diet, his calorie intake was not sufficient and would like Matt to explain how he obtains a sufficient quantity of calories through this diet. Matt explains his view that the body can thrive on very little calories.
Matt states that being on raw food only, detoxified him to a degree where he is so clean that he is able to take in the required nutrients from the food much easier than someone who is not following the raw diet.
During the interview, Daniel indicates that almost all of the foods we eat today are extremely domesticated, that even if in the "raw" form, are so modified genetically and altered that they're basically not at the maximum healthful value they once were, starting in their "wild" state.
When the talk focused on Daniel and why he switched from raw food into a much more standard "cooked food" diet, he said the transition was easy. He indicates that to him, there is really no real vegetarian diets. After speaking about all sorts of fertilizer used to make these "organic" and "raw" foods grow, Matt seems a little thrown when Daniel asks about how he grows his garden and if he makes use of any kind of fertilizer produced from animals.
Daniel goes on to discuss how the foods we all eat now are so far removed from their true, wild form that the raw food cleansing diet doesn't necessarily supply all the nutrients we require today anyway. He states that in order to obtain the highest health benefits, we would have to be eating the foods in their wild state, where cooking the food may still give much more nutritional and medicinal value than the "raw" food that is usually available.
Lastly, the two food experts come to an agreement that everybody is different and everyone has unique requirements. While Matt seems set in his opinions, feeling strongly about a raw detoxification diet, Daniel Vitalis is intensely of the opinion that the foods we offer today (be it from a garden or even a store), have changed so drastically that we do not identify with what the food had been. He also suggests that while many medicinal plants tend to be a new concept, ancient Chinese healing medicines have been utilizing them for centuries, with verifiable success in assisting health and physical well being.
